Captain’s Log: I’ve touched down in Vulcan, Alberta — a small prairie town that took one look at its name and said, “Yup, we’re going full Star Trek.” And honestly? I respect that.
Join me as I explore this gloriously geeky town where Star Trek isn’t just a fandom — it’s a lifestyle. First stop: the Vulcan Tourism & Trek Station, a spaceship-shaped visitor center filled with Trek memorabilia, interactive displays, and enough star charts to make any captain feel ready for warp.
Then it’s off to admire the massive outdoor model of the USS Enterprise, parked proudly by the highway like it’s waiting for Scotty to beam up a few tourists. Nearby, I meet the legendary Spock bust, silently judging all my logic or lack thereof.
