For our final day in New York, we took the subway to Coney Island. The Island has a wonderful kitch appeal to it, but you can’t look past the nasty beaches and water which unfortunately work against it.

There is a great old-timey amusement park on the boardwalk that I, unfortunately, didn’t get a chance to explore because with four children at ten dollars a ride, my bank account couldn’t take the abuse.

Well… that’s terrifying.
I didn’t write this in the sand, I just found it and took the picture.
The best part of the trip.
I waited in line an hour for this hot dog. Totally worth it!
Thank goodness for air conditioned subway cars.

…and that brought my New York City trip to a close. I could honestly spend a month exploring the city, but responsibilities at home call.
