The Lion King Classroom Mural

During my first year of teaching at LG Pinkston High School in Dallas in 2006 or 2007, I doodled a picture of Simba on my blackboard (yes, the school was so outdated that it actually had blackboards). When the students came in, they claimed that someone else had done it or that someone had traced it and wouldn’t believe me and, so, I wasted an entire period drawing an entire Lion King mural just to shut them up.

You know, looking back, I wasn’t that good of a teacher… but I did shut them up which few at that school were able to do.

Bonus: I was drawing Captain Marvel Shazam before it was cool.
