I’m going way back in my travel files for this one… the year 2003. So far back, as a matter of fact, I actually took these pictures on film. Not digital… film! How I was able to do this and fight off sabretoothed cats is beyond me.
This was my first and only trip to Alaska and, in Juneau, I went on a glacier walk. Although I don’t remember the name of the glacier, I can tell you, it is a beautiful and surreal experience, like walking onto an alien planet.
I love Alaska and long for the day I can return. There are places there that are so beautiful that they look like a special effect and every picture of myself from there that I have, I’m smiling. I’m going to live there someday.
