In this episode of The Power of Jayskull, Jason Gaston and VHS_Jase bask in the glorious, dragon-filled brilliance of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe episode, “The Dragon Invasion.” And guess what? We actually liked it. A lot. No irony. Okay, maybe *some* irony—this is still He-Man, after all.
Skeletor unleashes an army of dragons to conquer Eternia, because clearly he’s the kind of guy who goes big or goes back to Snake Mountain. He-Man responds by chucking dragons like they’re inflatable pool toys, Orko is surprisingly tolerable, and Teela remains the real MVP, as always.
With solid pacing, fun action, and a plot that didn’t feel like it was scribbled during lunch, this one actually holds up. We’re not crying, you’re crying. Wait, no—you’re just sweating from the dragon fire. Yeah, that’s it.
