Buckle up, buttercups—this is the extra-sized, frostbitten, bug-bitten, sleep-deprived, snack-fueled saga of my epic voyage up the legendary Alaska Highway! Starting in the overly polite land of Dawson Creek, British Columbia (not to be confused with the teen drama), I brave wildlife, weird roadside attractions, questionable gas station hot dogs, and my own sanity as I barrel north through Yukon and into Alaska.
But wait—why stop at regular Alaska when you can push your luck all the way to Deadhorse? That’s right, I went to the edge of the earth (or at least the part where the road gives up and screams, “That’s it, I’m done!”) and dipped my toes into the frigid, judgmental waters of the Arctic Ocean.
Along the way, I meet characters, dodge potholes that could swallow a compact SUV, and learn the true meaning of frost-numbed regret. This is the kind of road trip that makes you question your life choices… and also your tire pressure.
Grab some snacks, a warm blanket, and a strong sense of irony—this is Travels with Jason: The Alaska Highway Edition. You won’t believe the scenery. Or the gas prices.
