Rock and Rule | The VHS Vault

**Welcome back to the VHS Vault!** This week, VHS_Jase and Jason Roy Gaston dive deep into the neon-drenched, post-apocalyptic, glam rock dumpster fire that is *Rock and Rule* — the 1983 animated fever dream that dares to ask, *“What if Debbie Harry, Lou Reed, and a demonic Mick Jagger rat-man were in the same movie and nobody cared?”*

Jason, bless his nostalgic little heart, has a soft spot for this glorified music video with a plot held together by glitter and wishful thinking. Meanwhile, Jase absolutely loathes it and spends most of the episode trying to figure out who greenlit this chaos and why the animation budget ran out halfway through every scene.

Is *Rock and Rule* a misunderstood cult classic, or just a weird Canadian tax write-off with a synthesizer addiction? It’s both. Probably. So grab your shoulder pads, crank up the synths, and prepare for a VHS showdown where friendship is tested, taste is questioned, and mutant dogs sing love ballads.
