This week on *XXL Men*, VHS_Jase and Jason Roy Gaston dive headfirst into the gloriously overdramatic world of *X-Men: The Animated Series* with the episode “Deadly Reunions.” And by “dive,” we mean they cackle like villains watching a soap opera made entirely of muscles, lasers, and unresolved sexual tension.
Jubilee gets left alone to watch over Sabretooth, because obviously the best person for the job is the least qualified teenager with the weakest powers. What could *possibly* go wrong?
Meanwhile, Professor X and Magneto continue their decades-long tango of rage and longing. They say they hate each other, but we all know what’s really going on. Spoiler: It’s a lot of dramatic stairway exits, psychic shouting, and magnetic flirting.
There’s also some explosions, Wolverine yells, Cyclops scowls, and Storm brings the weather like it’s her full-time gig (which it is). It’s mutant melodrama at its finest! Watch as Jase and Jason unravel the madness with sarcasm, wild theories, and way too much commentary on Magneto’s opera cape.
