This week on XXL Men, VHS_Jase and Jason Roy Gaston suit up in their finest 90s spandex to dive into “Enter Magneto,” the episode where everyone’s favorite metal-bending diva finally shows up… and immediately makes us question if we ever really liked this show.
Watch as Magneto, the supposed “Master of Magnetism,” spends most of his time monologuing like a community theater dropout and making decisions that even a cartoon supervillain would call “a bit much.” It’s peak first-season chaos: bad writing and a plot that feels like someone lost the script halfway through and just started winging it.
Come for the mutant mayhem, stay for the extremely questionable prison security, a possible romance between Professor X and Magneto, and the endless parade of dramatic stares. It’s all here, and it’s all gloriously messy.
