Well, we finally did it. We dove headfirst into the cinematic disaster that is 1984’s *Supergirl*, and let’s just say… it went about as well as expected.
VHS_Jase and Jason Roy Gaston continue their Superman retrospective with this baffling attempt at a spinoff, featuring a plot that defies logic, villains that belong in a bad improv show, and a script that feels like it was written by a Magic 8-Ball.
Helen Slater gives it her all as Supergirl, but even she can’t save this movie from itself.
Why does she randomly forget she has powers?
Why does the Phantom Zone look like a sad escape room?
And how did Faye Dunaway sign up for this?
We don’t know, and frankly, neither did the filmmakers.
So join us as we try to unravel the nonsense, suffer through the magic mirror prison, and ask ourselves the real question: Was this truly a Superman spinoff, or an elaborate prank on the audience? Like, comment, and subscribe unless you too have been trapped in the Phantom Zone.
