Charles de Gaul airport. After sitting on the tarmac for two hours, my flight is canceled. United tells me that there’s no more flights to my destination, but they offer me a flight to Washington DC with a connecting flight the next morning. I get to Washington and the rude and dismissive rep tells me that she’s not going to provide me with a hotel room despite assuring me one in Paris. I get passed off to another representative who helps get me a room without a complaint. 4 AM the next morning, it’s time to fly to Houston. In Houston, I catch a flight to Midland. No one else wants to go to Midland. Don’t care. I’m almost home. Hello, West Texas! My babies missed me. New additions to the collection.
