It doesn’t happen every year around these parts, but once every few when the winds are just right and conditions are fair, the migratory Monarch Butterflies make their way through my home town.
As luck would have it, these beauties arrived on an October 2018 day as I was waiting to watch my children in the annual Homecoming parade. Thank goodness I had arrived early as I took every second I could before the parade started to snap pictures of our colorful royal visitors.
